Give me a reason

I think that in life we have become so accustomed to needing validation. So much so that we can have every answer we need and still look to others for answers that we say we are unsure of. For some reason we trust the opinion of others over our own.

I believe that we have gotten to a place where there is so much noise and distraction that we have lost faith in ourselves and forgotten how far we have come with the decisions that we have made thus far.

If I look back over my life, every inkling I’ve ever had I struggled to trust. Every single time, I drug my feet until god had to push me into submission. Sometimes they were hard pushes… and sometimes he was gracious toward me based on the position of my life at that given time & what I could stand.

How many times must god prove to us that he is the author of our lives. How many times must he show us that our spirit is moved by him. How long will it take us to trust without the long drawn out uncertainty and the longing for more signs.

Mark 8:12

He sighed deeply and said, “why does this generation ask for a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to it”

When you find yourself in a struggle about something you feel, and you realize that there is no one around who understands you or who can validate you just remember that sometime you should evaluate yourself …. study what is driving your thoughts and feelings. Once you have identified the source of your fear, sadness, stress, worry or whatever it may be… then find out what god says about it. Once you have Identified your issue and what scripture has to say about it you can then decide your action and courageously move forward in trust. Trust that god is the author of your story and so whatever he takes you through will work for your good, which means that you cannot fail. Sometimes we have to be ok with stepping out into new territory on our own without outside confirmation… and while it may be scary, God is not the author of fear!

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

So Ask yourself, if fear does not come from god…. then where does it come from!?

Sometimes the reason why people can’t validate or understand you is because the mission or the message was not given to them, it was given to you.

The life we live

In life, there is the person we see ourselves as and the person we are. There are the things we perceive to be reality & then there is reality. This blog will explore life's nuances and lessons as I live, observe, and reflect.
